The Danielson Framework for Teaching provides opportunities for intensive, shared, professional skill building. Our conference in Naperville, Illinois will allow you to engage with Danielson Group Consultants in active, hands-on learning throughout the conference. Learn from Charlotte Danielson and network with fellow educators. Four Conference Strands are designed to enhance your learning experience. These are rigorous, day-long workshops.
You must choose a Strand when registering for the conference.* A full description of each Strand can be found in the Conference Brochure.
Learning Strand 1: Observer Training
New school leaders and new Framework adopters who want to use the Framework accurately, fairly, and confidently should consider selecting Strand 1.
Learning Strand 2: Data-driven Conversations
Strand 2 is tailored for experienced observers who want to learn how to use evidence to support growth in teaching practice.
Learning Strand 3: Component Deeper Dive:
Strand 3 is designed for teachers, university teacher preparation staff, and school leaders who want to look closely at components 3b, 3c, and 3d of the Framework to increase their potential to impact student learning.
Learning Strand 4: Special Education and the Framework for Teaching:
Special Education observers and teachers who want to increase their knowledge of “look fors” when observing/coaching teachers of students with disabilities in a continuum of programs and services should enroll in Strand 4. Come away with new perspectives and new examples, and renew your energy for the complex and rewarding work of teaching and leading.
*Days from different Learning Strands cannot be combined in a single registration. You must register for all three days of a single Learning Strand. One- or two-day registrations are not available. The strands are designed to be cumulative learning experiences, therefore substitute attendees for one or two days of a strand are not possible.

Cost per attendee for all three days is $689 US.
Payment by credit card can be made at time of registration. If paying by check or purchase order, these must be received by the Danielson Group by April 11, 2018.

Registrations that are not paid by Oct. 1, 2017 will be cancelled and attendees will have to re-register at the standard rate of $689.
It is important that you pay for the conference or send a Purchase Order (PO) as soon as possible after registering. Registration alone will not reserve your place at the conference. Registrations are only valid once we have received your payment or a valid PO. If paid attendees reach conference capacity before we receive your payment/PO, your registration will be cancelled, regardless of the date of your registration.
Payments or purchase orders must be received by April 11, 2018. Registrations that are unpaid after April 11, 2o18 will be cancelled.
The Danielson Group reserves the right to cancel the conference. In the unlikely event of a cancellation, you will be notified and will receive a full refund of your registration fee. The Danielson Group is not responsible for any other expenses you may incur for a cancelled event.
If you have a paid registration but are unable to attend, contact us by email to request a refund (see refund policy below) or to transfer your registration to a substitute attendee. Registration transfers to substitute attendees for a complete 3-day strand** require written authorization in an email from you. The Danielson Group will keep the fee from the original registrant as payment for the substitute. You and your substitute are responsible for any financial arrangements regarding the transfer. Cancellation by February 25, 2018:
Full refund, less $50 cancellation processing fee; or registration can be transferred to a substitute attendee with no penalty
Cancellation February 26 - March 24, 2018:
50% refund, less $50 cancellation processing fee; or registration can be transferred to a substitute attendee with no penalty
Cancellation after March 24, 2018:
No refund, but registration may be transferred to a substitute attendee with no penalty

Northern Illinois University first opened its doors in the Fall of 1899 to prepare college-educated teachers. The College of Education (COE) offers six undergraduate majors, 16 master’s programs, six doctoral programs, and 38 certificates and endorsements.
