Experience with The Framework for Teaching
As one of the first trainers for The Framework for Teaching, Darlene has been active in delivering this work since 1997. She has worked with teachers and administrators throughout the United States and Canada as they implement systemic change using this body of work. Darlene believes that The Framework for Teaching can serve as the foundation for all that we do in districts including hiring, induction, professional development, classroom observations, peer coaching, and teacher evaluation.

Professional Experience
Darlene has over 30 years of experience as an educator. She has worked as a teacher at the elementary and middle level and has been a counselor at both the middle and senior high level. She was awarded the counselor of the year award by the Green Bay School district in 1986 and in 1992 was awarded the Wisconsin School Counselor Leadership award for her “significant contributions to school counseling.”

As an administrator she has been director of counseling, staff developer, curriculum coordinator, and middle level principal. She also spent two years in the United Kingdom doing staff development for the Department of Defense Schools.
