Elaine Phillips Ed.S. is a charter member of the Danielson Group. Her main contributions are in the areas of development, training and consultation. Her specialties include leading calibration training and customizing professional development workshops. Elaine works with schools, districts and state departments on program design, training trainers, observation and evaluation skills and coaching and learning focused conversations. Foundational to all her Danielson Group  work are her years in public school education, including serving as high school English teacher, Gifted and Talented Coordinator, and Director of Curriculum and Assessment. Her teaching continues at the college level as an adjunct and course developer for an online university. Elaine also draws from her experience with ETS as professional development trainer and writer. She is co-author of Implementing the Framework for Teaching in Enhancing Professional Practice, an ASCD Action Tool (2009). Elaine holds advanced degrees in English (Indiana University) ,Curriculum and Instruction  (University of St. Thomas) and Educational  Policy and Administration (University of Minnesota).
