A charter member of the Danielson Group, Candi has provided training and facilitation to school districts and state service agencies around the country in using The Framework for Teaching for over a decade.  An expert in the Framework, Candi provides customized, ongoing professional development and consulting services in the development of teacher evaluation systems, professional growth plans and models for teacher collaboration. Her passion for student learning and understanding of the importance of teacher quality drive her work with educators at every stage of the career ladder.

Professional Experience

Candi began her career in education as a classroom teacher. As an educator and teacher leader, she designed and delivered professional development for teachers, participated in curriculum planning and served as a mentor and peer coach.  A former national trainer with the Educational Testing Service, she spent several years as a college supervisor working with graduate students in the education degree program.

As a member or the Danielson Group, Candi works extensively with school leadership teams to enhance their skills in collegial conversation, classroom observation, and professional learning.  Her work with schools demonstrates her commitment to meeting the needs of students by improving professional practice and providing opportunities for ongoing reflection, conversation and collaboration.

Candi is the co-author of the book, Implementing the Framework for Teaching in Enhancing Professional Practice:  An ASCD Action Tool (ASCD, 2009). 

In addition, Candi developed the online learning opportunity based on Charlotte Danielson’s book, Talk About Teaching, nowavailable through Corwin and School Improvement Network (www.corwin-sinet.com).
